Acoustics Research Institute (ARI)

The Acoustics Research Institute (ARI) conducts application-oriented fundamental research in the field of acoustics. The ARI consists of four groups working in close collaboration to address these research demands. Each of the groups is active in both fundamental and applied research, aiming for scientific excellency, particularly in interdisciplinary projects.

The Austrian Academy of Sciences

The Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW) is Austria’s central non-university research and science institution. Its statutory mission is to “promote science in every way”. Founded in 1847 as a learned society, today the OeAW has over 770 members and 1,600 employees dedicated to innovative basic research, interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge and the dissemination of new insights with the aim of contributing to progress in science and society as a whole.

The Signal Processing Laboratory

The SPLab research group is a part of the Brno University of Technology and is involved in fundamental and applied research in the fields of voice, image, video and text processing. We have long-term experience in cooperation with many small, medium, and supranational companies and can offer advanced technologies and customized solutions in a variety of industry fields.

Brno University of Technology

Established in 1899 by Emperor Franz Joseph I, Brno University of Technology (BUT) is the city’s oldest university. Today it offers high-quality studies in engineering, scientific, economic and artistic fields. With its 20 thousand students and 8 faculties, BUT is the nation’s largest technical university. Focusing on science and research, the university now has five of its own research centres and being engaged in two centres of excellence.

Austrian Science Fund (FWF)

The purpose of the FWF is to support the ongoing development of Austrian science and basic research at a high international level. In this way, the FWF makes a significant contribution to cultural development, to the advancement of our knowledge-based society, and thus to the creation of value and wealth in Austria.

The Czech Science Foundation

The Czech Science Foundation (also known as the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic, GA CR) was established in 1993 as the main independent public organization with the aim to support basic research in the Czech Republic and promote international collaboration of researchers and research teams on the bilateral and multilateral levels.
